BACKGROUND

Founded in 1903, Estate Argyros is a family-owned winery now in its fourth generation. With over a century of winemaking history, the estate has built its reputation on integrity, innovation, and a deep respect for tradition.

It cultivates more than 120 hectares of vineyards, many of them over 200 years old and ungrafted, thriving in Santorini’s unique volcanic soil. This ancient, mineral-rich terroir, coupled with the island’s dry, windy climate, yields wines of remarkable purity, structure, and longevity.

Estate Argyros is internationally celebrated for its Assyrtiko, a grape that flourishes under Santorini’s extreme conditions. The resulting wines are known for their striking minerality, crisp acidity, and exceptional aging potential. In addition to their renowned dry whites, the estate also produces Vinsanto — a naturally sweet wine crafted from sun-dried grapes and matured in oak barrels for several years. This rare and exquisite wine ranks among the world’s finest dessert offerings.
